Winches

Winches are a must have for the serious overlanding and offroading travelers.  They make recovery much more pleasant than manually operating a come-along or hi-lift jack.  The rule of thumb is to pick a winch with a weight rating at least 1.5x greater than the weight of your vehicle when fully loaded.
