ADO Heavy Duty M226 Rear Differential Guard for Nissan Frontier & Xterra

Manufacturer: Alldogs Offroad Coop
SKU: ADO M226-DIFF-GUARD
$130.00

Are you a fan of heavy meatal (specifically 1/4" plate)?  Look no further!  We've whipped up this tasty & tough steel differential guard for the Nissan M226 rear axle (metaphorically 'tasty', do not eat).

This cover is great for adding extra protection to your OEM stamped steel differential cover.  The heavy duty flange reinforces the lower lip of the factory cover, making it less prone to peeling and causing leaks if you happen to drag your differential over rocks.

These are sold as bare steel and pre-welded, you will want to prep and paint it at time of installation.  Extended length hardware included which is necessary to complete your install.  Made in the USA!

Fitment:

  • 2005-2019 Nissan Frontier (M226 variants only)
  • 2020-Present Nissan Frontier
  • 2005-2015 Nissan Frontier (M226 variants only)

Notes:

  • To visually identify whether you have an M226 rear differential, count the number of bolts that secure your cover.  The M226 has a 12 bolt cover.
  • Only fits vehicles equipped with the OEM stamped steel differential cover.  Will not clear aftermarket covers or aluminum covers.

Great looking diff guard, fits perfectly

Fits perfectly on the M226 on my Xterra PRO-4X.  The fact that it’s not painted or powder coated out of the box means more money for other mods plus you can finish it in any colour you want.

I work in a shop that also does body work on construction equipment, so big bonus the primer  and dark metallic grey paint were free from partial spray cans.  Leaving the stock stamped cover black means the dog silhouette really pops once the guard is installed.

Pro-tip: my calculated gamble of carefully removing the stock cover bolts and quickly installing/torquing the extended fasteners failed.

Better off being prepared to drain and reseal or drain and reinstall with a LubeLocker gasket.

Super rad rear differential cover!

Got mine earlier this year & it fits behind factory rear sway on my D41 perfectly! The only small downside is that it isn’t painted, but that opens up customization so I saw it as a plus. Did a 3 stage silver speckle on black to match the truck.
